Present in Brazil for about a year, the US company iRobot announced
just this Wednesday, 04/27, its official arrival in the country during
an event held in São Paulo.With this, the company brings to the Brazilian market its new lines domestic robots that can dodge stairs and carpets with the help of GPS and its more than 20 sensors.
Manufactured in China, the iRobot products have prices ranging between 2,000 reais and 9,000 reais in Brazil, depending on the model.
The input version, the Braava 380 has a smaller and simpler design compared to other company devices. The robot uses dry or damp cloths to clean hard surface floors, and interesting for wet and dry roads. The suggested retail price is 2,000 reais.
Roomba
Already the Roomba line, better known company and stands out with a circular design, arrives in Brazil with a variety of handsets and price.
The simplest models, which include the Roomba 620 and Roomba 650, cost 2,100 reais and 2,700 reais, respectively. Counting with a remote control as a differential, the Roomba 880 intermediate goes for 4,600 reais. Already the top of the line Roomba 980, which allows control and scheduling cleanings via smartphone, has an even saltier price: 6,600 reais.
Pool
The most expensive robot released by iRobot in Brazil is also what draws the most attention. Designed specifically for cleaning swimming pools, Mirra out for no less than 9,000 reais. Aside from Mirra, the other equipment of iRobot can not come into contact with water - it can spoil the products, says the manufacturer.
Exclusivity
Finally, the company said it is also launching the country Roomba 780, intermediate model between the lines 600 and 800. Already with remote control, the device is unique network Fast Shop and has a suggested retail price of 3,500 reais.
Maintenance

Another important point to take into account is the battery, which has shelf life of about two years, according to the manufacturer. To buy a new one, you need to shell out 550 reais. Accessories are sold directly by iRobot.
Brazil
IRobot says it sold about 10 thousand units in the country since May 2015, when it began to operate here. Nevertheless, the company does not open how many units expected to sell in the local market going forward.
The new lines of business in Brazil start being sold this week a variety of authorized resellers, including major retail chains such as FNAC, Fast Shop, Submarino, Giraffe with Ricardo Eletro, Americanas.com and Sam's Club.
The company also points out that its products have 1 year warranty and local technical assistance unit return within seven days.
